The core activity performed by Bulgarian Railway Company EAD is freight transport on domestic and international traffic. The company ensures the transport of the wagons in loaded and unloaded condition by organizing their movement with convenient train timetable in compliance with the specific characteristics of every client.
BRC operates with electric and diesel locomotives with various traction power. The company use own or leased locomotives series 87 (3676 kW), series 40 (5100 kW), series 60 (2100 hp) for traction services and locomotives series 81 for shunting services.
BRC provide services with all types of wagons property of the client or rented. Currently, the company has leased EAOS, ZAES, ZAS and RGS type wagons for its transport projects. As part of GRAMPET GROUP, BRC could ensure different type of wagons though its related parties or through its cooperation with international leasing companies for rolling stock.
Blocktrains
We provide stable transport service of high-volume goods organized in heavy trains with regular or extraordinary timetable.
Group of wagons
We deliver group of up to maximum 10 wagons in convenient service for smaller logistic chains.
Single wagons
We organize flexible transport solution of single wagons for specific type of goods.
Transit trains
We perform transport of transit trains trough Bulgaria from/to Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Greece, and vice versa. The company has border agreements for exchange of wagons with numerous counter parties from neighboring countries.
Transport of dangers goods
We are specialized in the transportation of dangerous freights in accordance with the provisions of RID. The company has a Safety certificate and the qualification of the staff directly involved in management of transport of dangerous goods.
Transports of special consignments
We provide services for transport of special consignments with exceeded gauge in width and / or height and / or length of the train above the prescribed for the requested route.
Intermodal transport
We collaborate with different partners to organize intermodal transports and to achieve optimization of logistics scheme. Our responsibilities as a railway operator are realize transmission of cargos by road to rail.
Shunting
We deliver shunting services upon request in Varna, Ruse, Pirdop and Vidin.
